Born out of the backstreets of Edinburgh’s rock and blues club scene, RumRunners’ have moulded a familiar but ultimately fresh sonic take on classic tones, rocking riffs and moody swagger, combining a contemporary gritty indie edge with vintage rock and blues roots at their heart. Already drawing comparisons from their contemporaries, the band are currently signed to Infinite Hive.

Meet Jim

Introducing heavy hitting groove machine Jim – the driving force behind the drums for RumRunners.

Based in Edinburgh for the last 10 years Jim lives & breathes music from all corners of the city. By day a live sound engineer, by night well…. also mainly a sound engineer. He also works with other Edinburgh based bands and music projects whilst producing, recording, mixing & mastering for bands all over the UK.

Currently soundtracking his lockdown is the new album ‘Omens’ from Prog Rockers ‘Elder’.

Meet Billy

Introducing the six string songsmith Will Howard and his Stratocaster, Viv. Founding mastermind of RumRunners.

He’s often found under Edinburgh’s night lights seeking out new music and creative partners. Driven to create and develop new sounds for RumRunners, Will is constantly writing and tweaking their sound and songs, drawing influence from bands both new and old.

Will is currently playlisting the likes of Nothing But Thieves, Alice in Chains and Incubus. Current top song is Adolescents by Incubus.

Meet Pete

Bass player Pete is an old school rocker at heart who’s always looking for new inspiration and loves listening to Jack Bruce, Jon Entwhistle and Billy Sheehan.

Originally from London, Pete played guitar and bass with many bands on the London circuit before moving to Scotland in 2013, where he enjoys walking in the the Highlands with his partner and their huge Labradoodle.

When he’s not making noise with the band Pete can be found teaching Zen yoga classes (https://www.zenasanayoga.com). At the moment he’s listening to Rival Son’s Feral Roots album and Rainbow Rising.
